Alaskan History Magazine has been suspended for an indeterminate length of time. With only one year of publication, Alaskan History Magazine has been too fragile to survive the catastrophic impact of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. For more information click here.

Four covers verticalAlaskan History is a bimonthly magazine with:

• Stories of the people, places and events which shaped the history of Alaska from prehistory to Statehood.

• Historic photographs, ads, posters, postcards and other graphics

• A timeline of events in Alaska’s history

• An index to articles, authors, and subjects

• Back issues always available

The managing editor is Alaskan author Helen Hegener, and the magazine is published by Northern Light Media, a company she founded in 2007.
